The Alpha Crew Charity Bike Ride 2026 is complete. Here’s this year’s round-up.

Over four days, the team cycled more than 320 miles from London to The Hague, travelling through the UK, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands to raise money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of our dear friend and colleague, Hassan Elabbady.

This annual ride has become an incredibly important tradition for the team, bringing everyone together for a challenge that is both physically demanding and deeply personal.

The Route

This year’s journey covered four countries across four days:

  • Day 1: London to Folkestone - 85 miles

  • Day 2: Calais to Ghent - 100 miles

  • Day 3: Ghent to Breda - 75 miles

  • Day 4: Breda to The Hague - 60 miles

The final day marked the end of another unforgettable challenge, with the team reaching The Hague together after long days in the saddle, sore legs, sunburn, high winds, and plenty of determination.

Day-by-Day Highlights

Day 1: London to Folkestone

The ride got underway with an early start and strong spirits as the team set off from London towards Folkestone. After months of training and preparation, it was great to finally get on the road and begin the journey together. Throughout the first day, the team received plenty of support online from friends, family, clients, and followers cheering them on as they made their way towards the first stop of the challenge.

Day 2: Calais to Ghent

After crossing into France, the team tackled the longest stage of the ride - 148km from Calais to Ghent. There were definitely some tired legs by this point, along with a few sore backsides, but morale stayed high throughout the day. Good weather helped keep everyone going, and the team continued pushing forward together.

Day 3: Ghent to Breda

By day three, the finish line was beginning to feel within reach. The route from Ghent to Breda brought another long day on the bikes, but team spirit remained strong. Snacks, encouragement, and a lot of determination helped everyone power through with one final day left to go.

Day 4: Breda to The Hague

The final stretch into The Hague was a memorable way to end the challenge. Although strong winds through Belgium and the Netherlands made sections of the ride particularly tough, crossing the finish line together made every mile worthwhile.

£2,927 Raised for the British Heart Foundation

Thanks to the incredible support from friends, family, clients, and followers, the team raised £2,927 for the British Heart Foundation. Every donation, share, message, and word of encouragement helped motivate the riders throughout the challenge and contributed towards supporting the charity’s life saving work.

Riding in Memory of Hassan Elabbady

The Alpha Crew Charity Bike Ride was originally started in memory of Hassan Elabbady, a much loved friend and colleague whose impact is still felt across the team today. Every year, the ride is an opportunity to honour Hassan’s memory while raising money for the British Heart Foundation and the vital work they continue to do.

Thank You for the Support

A huge thank you to everybody who donated, shared posts, sent messages of support, or cheered the riders on throughout the journey. The support genuinely means a lot to the whole team.

The fundraiser is still open for anybody who would still like to contribute and support the British Heart Foundation.
