Key Sustainability Practices

1. Waste Reduction and Recycling

We actively reduce paper usage by implementing double-sided printing and shredding documents for recycling. Additionally, we have moved all crew information, timesheets, and applications online to minimise paper waste.
Uniforms, hard hats, and high-vis vests are made from durable materials, prioritising longevity over cheaper alternatives, thus reducing the need for frequent replacements.
At events, we maintain a rigorous housekeeping process, which includes soldier lines for waste collection and processing. This ensures that materials are properly sorted and disposed of responsibly.

2. Sustainable Travel Practices

To minimise our carbon footprint, we encourage walking, cycling, and the use of public transport for our crew. We also prefer online meetings to reduce the need for travel.
Where travel is necessary, we optimise transport by using larger vehicles, such as a 9-seater van, to ensure that we reduce the number of vehicles required for crew transportation.

3. Minimising Packaging Waste

We actively encourage crew members to bring their own lunches or we provide sustainable catering options that reduce packaging waste. This helps to minimise single-use plastic and other disposable packaging materials.

4. Uniform Recycling and Reuse

To further reduce waste, we work with suppliers to recycle old uniforms, ensuring that they do not end up in landfills but are returned for reuse or repurposing.

5. Training for Sustainable Practices

Our comprehensive crew training programmes include sustainability-focused modules. Crew members are trained to perform tasks efficiently, which typically require two people, reducing resource consumption and travel.
We also educate our team on best practices in sustainability, ensuring that each individual is aware of their role in contributing to our environmental goals.
