In the lead-up to the Paris Summer Olympics, SLX was selected as the official rigging and broadcasting partner, tasked with delivering key infrastructure and technical solutions across multiple venues. As their sole crew partner, Alpha Crew was brought in to help bring these plans to life on the ground.
Over 200 of our crew members were deployed throughout the project, delivering a total of 5,070 hours across the city. Our scope of work included everything from unloading and loading equipment to operating plant machinery, building structures and take down, supporting AV and lighting installations, and providing general crew support. We also provided transport services to ensure teams and equipment could move smoothly between locations.
With multiple sites in play and tight build schedules, our crew had to be flexible, fast-moving, and detail-oriented. Our ability to scale up quickly and assign skilled crew to the right tasks made us a reliable extension of the SLX team. Across the project, we worked closely with their production managers and site leads to make sure every aspect of the delivery aligned with the standards required by an event as high-profile as the Games.
This job marked one of our largest single deployments in Paris to date - a clear reflection of the trust SLX placed in Alpha Crew and our ability to deliver under pressure. From start to finish, our team’s focus was on providing seamless, safe, and efficient support for the broadcast infrastructure to help bring the Olympics to life for a global audience.
Also in Paris: Supporting Better Green
Alongside our work with SLX, Alpha Crew was appointed as the sole crew partner to Better Green, who were responsible for delivering temporary broadcasting gantry solutions at venues across Paris. This project saw us deploy 60 skilled crew members, delivering over 3,100 hours of support to build bespoke gantries for global media coverage. Operating across multiple sites with varied timelines, our crew worked closely with the Better Green team to deliver consistent, professional support in a high-pressure, high-visibility environment.
